BRIEF INTRODUCTION ON FIRE-FIGHTING ROBOTICS:
Fire has been the source of widespread mishaps all across the world. A fire fighter is an emergency safety professional who responds to fire scenes to extinguish fires and assist fire victims. Thousands of fire-fighters give their life in dousing the fires and rescuing the people from the fire affected region.

We at YOGIKI take our inspiration from this and have decided to promote the automation of the same on the very small level successfully. The aim of this workshop is to find the exact location of the fire in a maze provided at the arena, once the location of the fire is located the fire extinguishing mechanism will blow off the fire. The automation, shown in this small level or scale should be able to kindle the fire within the students to go ahead and open up their minds and make such innovative products on the industrial level.

WORKSHOP COURSE CONTENT:
The course content elaborated in the Autonomous Robotics Workshop can be explained better in the following heads:
  • Introduction to Robotics
  • Various component of robotics
  • Discussion on the mechanical components
  • Different types of actuators
  • Basic electronics
  • Fire detecting methods.
  • Introduction to microcontrollers
  • Introduction to embedded C.
  • Small programs of interfacing.
  • Various algorithms of robot control.

  • In the span of two days time the participants will learn the concepts of-
    1. Basic Robotics
    2. Different types of actuators
    3. Motor Drivers
    4. Different types of Sensors
    5. Microcontroller
    6. Different types of Batteries
    7. Programming in C

Workshop will contain a take-away kit which will consist of the following parts:
  • A fibre glass chassis
  • Three DC motors
  • Two nylons wheels
  • One omni wheel
  • Microcontroller board
  • Two Line sensors
  • One Fire detection sensors
  • Fire extinguishing kit.
  • A battery and battery charger
  • Screw driver
  • Nuts and screws.

  • The workshop is going to be one of its kind and all members will be given a take-away kit. The kit will be accompanied by a CD which contains an elaborative explanation of the kit. The CD will be self-explanatory with complete steps of the workshop being mentioned. The kit, being a universal platform actually guarantees to provide the perfect base for all students to put their innovation into being and gear start into the very interesting field of robotics and will definitely allow the students to work ahead with all sorts of higher level projects, help of which can be found in the able hands of YOGIKI.

The kit also allows various interfacings and is capable of providing the best quality of experience to the students. Technical help from YOGIKI will always be provided for the same and YOGIKI aims at providing complete satisfaction to the students for the same.
